Conference Messages

HI Church,

With the Spirit of Faith Conference commencing very shortly, I would like to remind you that if you are serving in a department that requires you to miss the messages, you can get a free copy of the message either via MP3 or go to the Bookstore and request a copy. Pastors Tony & Patsy, value you very much and thank you for your dedication to serving in all the departments across RFC. Without you, church would not be as good as it is. Together we are reaching people, because people matter to God!

See you at the conference!

:)

Interesting Facts about the Bible

Hope - Kids April Theme...

Hi Parents,

We are off to a flyer this month, with children's church beginning from the start of the service. So you can check you kids in from 9:45am. Our preservice environment will be in a controlled environment with our workers starting from 9:45am...

Have a listen and a read to discover what is happening this month in your children's lives at church during the month of April.

We hear and say the word hope a lot. I hope you have a great day. Hope the test results are good. Hope your meeting with the boss goes well. Hope you feel better soon. Hope the baby will start sleeping through the night. We hope for things both big and small every day. But really hope in its truest and most life-giving form is what God (and now His church) has always uniquely offered the world.

That’s because throughout all of time, God has been revealing Himself as the one true God. He keeps His promises at all times and the Bible clearly says that God works all things out for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. His faithfulness is eternal. And His mercies are new every morning. (Romans 8:28)

Even back in the Garden of Eden after sin entered the world and all hope seemed lost, God promised a way of rescue. He set a plan in motion. By sending His Son, Jesus, God fulfilled that promise not only through Jesus’ life, but through His death and resurrection. As Jesus ascended back to His Father, He made two more promises to give us continued hope—that the Holy Spirit would come and that Jesus Himself would one day return and make all things right.

As humans, we are often limited in what we can see and understand. We don’t always know how things will turn out. We can easily lose hope just by turning on the TV or dealing with challenging situations in a broken world. But we can believe and take hope in a God who keeps His promises. His history of faithfulness helps us to trust Him no matter what. We can have hope that heaven is real and that restoration is now and coming. This is real hope that we can cling to even when life is difficult and we just don’t understand. The people around us are desperate for this kind of hope too.

This month, let’s think about how:

(1) We can have hope because of what God has done.
(2) We respond with hope, as we actively trust God and His plan.
(3) God uses the hope in us to influence our families, friends, and neighbors.

Remember this month... encourage conversation with your children about what they are learning in Children's church, spend time with your children by working on the Parent Cue and devotions. That way, together we can bring hope into your children's world.

Easter Egg Hunt

Kids of Logan Easter Hunt and Family Fun DayTime is fastly approaching us for the annual Kids of Logan Easter Egg Hunt and Community Family Day. This is a wonderful opportunity to reach out into our community with an Act of Kindness to the children in this suburb. We are asking you to come and celebrate this day with us. This will be a fun day getting to know fellow church folk, but also an opportunity to roll up the sleeves and connect with people and other families.

If you would like to invite people electronically, you can copy and paste the following link. I encourage you to promote it also on Facebook and other social media networks.... let's spread the word. http://www.rhema.org.au/vc_central/easter2012-DL.png

Just today we secured from the Deputy Mayor's office the funding for an animal farm which will be a great family addition, with a variety of animals present on the day. There will be also other great games, live music, BBQ food for sale.

We are waiting for confirmation on some other exciting things too. Please pray for fine weather and for hearts of all ages to be open to the Love of God.

If you would like to serve and be a part in any way, please connect with the team at theHub and register your details. Every participating hand makes it a wonderful day. I still remember the relationships that were birthed last year and blossoming strong today.

Growth on many levels

Hi Church,

Each week we continue to see God's wonder and grace in what is taking place here in the house. We are seeing people coming into relationship with Jesus through the GO Outreach team, relationships strengthened through the supplemental teaching at Rhema Bites on Wednesday nights as well as testimonies of the Word setting people free as a result of our Friday and Sunday services. God is good!

Recently, to accommodate with the growth that is happening through our Sunday Worship environment, we split the ages of our children's church to better minister on a more age appropriate level. What is happening however, we are finding that we are having to free up more Auditorium chairs to make room for the new people that God is bringing each week.  So after prayerfully considering some options, commencing April 1st, all children will start their own services at the same time as the Adult service. This should free up about 40 - 50 spaces in the main auditorium.

Currently the toddlers and pre-school environment has been operating from the start of the services and we are hearing positive feedback on how that is working out. So children aged from 7 - 12 can now enjoy the service with more fun, more age-appropriate teaching and more opportunity to build lasting relationships through the small group activities that can now effectively take place.

Enjoy the rest of your day in Christ!

Murray
