Appreciation Luncheon

Hello awesome team!

Pastors Tony and Patsy would like to invite you to lunch! As a sign of their appreciation for all those hours of dedication to God in this house! This will also be an opportunity to invite new members to the teams who currently are not serving at the Church. Due to the weekly growth that is happening, more positions have opened up in all areas.  Please RSVP with Catherine Doherty by emailing her or stopping by the theHub to reserve your space.

The best is yet to come!

iPhones - gotta love them!

Hi folks,

Rhema iconI certainly have been busy in here for the past couple of days, getting the Volunteer Central componant all ready for our website launch which should be happening in the next few days.  I want to bring your attention to a great new feature you may not have been aware. Did  you know that the Church Roster is iPhone compatible? All you need to do is go to the new rostering address - http://vc.rhema.org.au from your browser on your iPhone and when the website appears click the little icon that has the small rectangle with the arrow and select the "Add to Home Screen". An icon will appear on your iphone, whcih makes it easier for you to check the rosters and other posts etc that will begin to appear.

Please note: I have changed the address from http://rosters.rhema.com.au to http://vc.rhema.org.au - both will be accessible for the next while, but we are gradually moving everything accross to the rhema.org.au domain.

PS, I have also give you, our volunteers a sneak peak into our website, it is still in final testing so mind some of the little anomalies. To see the site, simply log out, or visit here: http://www.rhema.org.au/site

See  y'all at FNC (that's Friday Night Church in case you were wondering ;) )

Church Directory

Hi Again Team,

I am just letting you all know that I have been tinkering around in here to make the site more seamless to our new website that is almost ready to be launched. I am just finalising a few links. You will notice in the menu links above you will see a new button called Directory. This is the Rhema Church Community Directory. It is here you can find people and get in touch with people within our church, It kinda has a facebook feel to it. Church Community Builder is a end-user empowered system. You can add church friends and also edit your own profiles, update your own addresses etc. If you have not registered, I encourage you to do so. This database, helps all the leaders and pastoral team better communicate to the congregation via text messages, emails and written communication.

Any questions, just let me know. You are all champions and are very much appreciated.

Friday Night Church - Counted as a win!

Last Friday was the launch of our Friday Night Church services. It was a blast.

Many people were involved in making it such a success. There were people working into the wee hours of the mornings to get the new cafe area working and functional. At times it felt like an extreme makeover reality show. There was even a homeless guy come by at around 2.30 in the morning to investigate what was happening. As it turned out, he was a painter in need of work, so Chris quickly put him to work having him stain the coffee shop counter. Some people think it may have been an angel. Regardless it was a God send for the boys. People running everywhere all the way up to to 6.30pm when people began to arrive.

The pre and post service music and cafe was a big hit. It was so exciting to see people connect and to build relationships. Some people stayed for over two hours after church finished drinking coffee and enjoying the BBQ food. That was a win!

There were some first time visitors and there was at least 1 person accepting Jesus as their Saviour.  Definitely a win!

Kids Church was launched for the first night service, not sure how many kids were going to show up, it was a step of faith. All up 15 kids enjoyed a power-packed experience. A new curriculum was introduced as a trial and the teaching for the night was... based off Heb 11:1. The kids were on the edge of their seats discovering that They can trust in a God they can't see, because they can see what He has created. That was a win!

On behalf of Ps Tony and Patsy, a very big thank you and it is an honour to serve such a generous and giving church.
